8.00 (good) This is one of the best yaoi I've ever read: Kai Asou's art is beautifully simple, the characters are relatable and the plot is realistic. What I appreciate most about this is the quietness; there aren't any overly dramatic situations and there's no need for them. The characters are normal, everyday people and it's a pleasure to watch them interact. Furthermore, even if it's yaoi, Yachin... isn't full of sex scenes and instead focuses on the characters and their feelings. Highly recommended!

8.00 (good) I'm always left wondering how Naono Bohra makes her oneshots seem so complete and ends them so satisfactorily. Here we have the perfect amount of backstory, sex scenes, action and humor, all set in a fantasy world with demons that sing attack songs. The art is top notch, as expected, and Zai is adorable when confused.

8.00 (good) Overall it was a pretty good read, I enjoyed the fantasy aspect of the series and the first story had that fairytale-like atmosphere. On the downside, the ukes are drawn quite girly so it's easy to mistake them for the opposite gender if you aren't aware this is yaoi.

8.00 (good) O hai there, pushy seme trope! With nice art, Masara Minase gives us a story set in the world of modeling, with spoiled brats and gorgeous people. There is, of course, some ANGST, but most of it comes from the bickering between Masahiro, Yoshimi and Akito than external forces — which is understandable, as yaoi doesn't typically get too deep plot-wise. At 4 volumes, it's still surprisingly long for a yaoi series, though I still felt like the relationship between Masahiro and Yoshimi moved kinda fast before the time skip epilogue. Meh: nice art, decent story, lots of bitching and angsting = an OK read!

8.00 (good) Liked it very much, there was a lot of emotion and the characters behaved more maturely (well, as mature as the "misunderstanding" yaoi subgenre can be) than in other works. Beautiful art, as expected from Masara Minase, though my complaint is that the characters look very similar, even though it's not that easy to mix them up. Out of the two stories, my favorite was the second, for the more complicated and twisty plot.

8.00 (good) One of Shin Mizukami's best, in my opinion. There are many turns to the story and I liked how "cruel" she could be to her characters: there's no sugarcoating most of the situations here and the sex is quite graphic and with no romance involved most of the time. Beautiful art, though as with all of Shin Mizukami's works, it takes getting used to.

8.00 (good) It's slightly difficult to review this manga, since it touches on several difficult topics such as teen pregnancy, rape, and single motherhood. Don't be fooled by the innocent start; it will tug at your heartstrings relentlessly. Without spoiling anything, all the characters get their share of happy and tragic events; however, I can't even remember anyone having an absolutely HAPPY ending. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story; it doesn't shy away from delivering punches to the gut, and is kept fairly realistic - this is stuff that actually happens. The art is clean and decent, reminiscent of shoujo.

8.00 (good) Cute story, with a dash of drama and a lot of good art. The pace is decent and the only tension stems from the relationship between Yousuke and Kazuhiro; the background, a mountain village, is quite peaceful and serves as a good setting for the relationship, what with the lack of focus on other "urban" elements.

7.75 (good) I really liked it when I first read it and it's definitely a tear-jerker, but I'm not sure how it stands the test of time. Even if it's OK in the beginning, there are parts where it feels drawn out and Riiko's not the best protagonist either. What I did like (and still do) is the ending and I'm glad Watase went with a more bittersweet (and realistic, IMO) one instead of going down the classic shoujo route. Will re-read this eventually and see how it holds up.

7.75 (good) Anime meets zombies! Oh, and a truckload of T&A. My favorite part about this is the fact that the author takes this manga seriously; don't get me wrong, there's still a lot of humor, but the characters are no longer as obscenely stupid as those we usually see in the zombie subgenre. Only thing that ultimately made me give this up is the excessive use of ecchi; I don't mind when there's a lot of it, but watermelon boobs are something I just can't suspend my disbelief on.

7.75 (good) Even though it seems to drag on, the plot is still more original than other shoujo manga plots.

7.75 (good) One thing I liked about this is the fact that even though it's shoujo, it's not full of the mushy, cavity-inducingly sweet cliches we're used to seeing in this type of manga. The heroine is tough and fends for herself, even if a bit boyish and impulsive (but that's what ultimately makes her so realistic).
The art is pretty good; the chibi faces are funny and most often angry, as opposed to the usual happy/cheerful ones, but it looks quite good when "normal" as well.
In the end, I'd recommend this to those who are tired of girly girls and overly effeminate boys, it's definitely a breath of fresh air as far as the shoujo genre is concerned.

7.75 (good) This was a fun read; of course, we have the delicious Naono art and sex scenes, but the humor in this lies in the insecurities of the couple since they give this series a more realistic feel. They're problems anyone can relate to and the characters are very lovable (especially the overacting Tatsuru).

7.75 (good) Cute collection of stories and pretty decent characters. Focuses more on the romance rather than sex and there's a fair share of drama as well, but it's not hard to sit through; thankfully, we don't spend entire chapters clearing up misunderstandings. The art is clean and pleasant to look at, no complaints there. All in all, it's a decent series.
